Today, while I was on my laptop, I decided to take a nap. Little did I know that my leg was covering up the cool air intake underneath the machine. I woke up an hour later with a first degree burn on my thigh. From a laptop. FML

Why was my post (#56) "being a troll"(post 68)? I just said that happens to me quite often, I also dont understand why that makes me stupid.. And I REALLY dont get why this was posted to me.. "if you wanna bitch and moan about something that happened to a friend instead of yourself, have them come on here and put up an FML. noone wants to hear you whine. waahmbulance, srsly." I never mentioned anything about my friend...

How the hell could you comfortably take a nap while literally on your laptop (or perhaps to be more accurate, while your laptop was on you). I've been laptopping for a good while now and it does sometimes make me want to nap, but I... you know... remove my laptop from my person first. Way to fail.

YDI for wasting electricity.

laptop heat is nothing, my legs absorb that like like super porous agar plates and eosin 1%!

HAHAHAHAA omg.. i've done that.. twice.. once on my thigh and once on my wrist.. i learned my lesson, i now use a baking sheet so i dont fall asleep and get burnt XD

Actually, over a prolonged period of time, first-degree laptop burns can scar. My last laptop had all the intakes/vents/etc. on the bottom of the laptop, all with metal grates, and I had a tendency to use it with, like, shorts on. Those grates get very hot. Even though they were only first-degree burns, after repeated burns in the same place on a semi-regular basis (3-4 times a week), I have scars on my thighs in the basic shape of the grates.
