#7 but laptops do get very hot, if I was to sleep with mine on my lap it would definitely burn my leg. #3 it was on his lap, not under him OP I kind of feel sorry for you but that was a stupid move and why didn't you put the laptop away from you? Or were you really that tired?!

LMAO... I did that one time too... the heat exhaust port was right up against my knew... I woke up and I was like... WTF!
to the people that are saying that it wouldn't burn you, trust me. it would. it's happened to me as well.
Definitely happened to me before. Man the damage that vent did to my thigh, the blister patch was half the size of my palm.
