Today, while I was walking to class, I was hit by a car. The driver stopped to let me cross in front of her, started moving again, hit me, and then yelled at me, saying it was my fault for walking in front of her. FML

Texas state law, vehicles must yield to pedestrians

It will be interesting to see if she uses this excuse in court.

As a pedestrian, you have the right of way and can sue them for hitting you. Twice.

because drivers here (tx) are the worst in the ******* country

Unless you've driven in all the states, you can't possibly know that. Drivers suck in Illinois, drivers suck in California, but, out of the two states I've experienced, Chicago drivers are the worst.

All of us? Every Texan is worse than any driver in another state? Are you in Texas, and included in that statement?

Glad there is not enough traffic in my area to walk out in front of a car

By the sounds of it I'd say Austin, San Antonio, or Houston is your place of residence in that order lol.

I was a passenger in a car that hit another car: the driver had priority but politely waved the other to go, then hit it. In general he was a nice and well meaning person. The other driver and I were both shocked. His explanation: I thought he will go different direction.....

My driving instructor always said to not go if the other person has the right of way, even if they wave you through. They are not a traffic cop, so they can't actually direct traffic. If you go and get hit, it's your fault because it wasn't your turn. I'm not blaming anyone, just giving advice.

I don't feel this story has any place under this particular FML. If a pedestrian was included, sure, but since your story was just a "normal" accident I don't see the relevance.
