Today, while my 18 pound cat was on the edge of the tub watching me shower, he fell in. Apparently, in his mind, the best way to get away from the water is to climb my bare legs. FML

Today, I was taking a bath after a long day at work. I closed my eyes and listened to music. My cat thought this was the perfect time to come out of his hiding spot and jump in the bath. Once he realized it was filled with water, he freaked out and dug his claws into my face. FML

Today, my cat followed me into the bathroom. While I was showering, he knocked over the storage shelf behind the toilet. The shelf was the perfect length to wedge the shower door completely closed. No one was home so I had to climb over my tall shower door all slippery and naked. FML

Today, I was enjoying a nice bath, when one of my cats jumped up on the rim and started purring. I thought it was sweet, until my other cat ran in and body-slammed the first into the tub with me. Being a conscientious cat owner, I hadn't de-clawed them. FML

Today, I tried to give my cat a bath after he got into the attic and got covered in all sorts of shit. Halfway through, he freaked out, jumped out of the tub, and ran around the house dripping wet. He then hid under my bed, and I had to practically dismantle it to get him out. Now my bedroom smells like wet fur and broken trust. FML

Not all cats are unhealthy at 18lbs. I had a cat who was healthy weight of 20lbs (he was part maine coon, a very large breed of domestic cat)

My cat weighs 18 pounds and is very lean. What would be grossly overweight for an american Shorthair is on the low end of average for some breeds.

I had a cat (ordinary, not a main coon or any big race) that weighed 19.8 pounds although he wasn't fat at all, he only had muscles from hunting a lot and really looked like a miniature panther!

I had a cat that peaked a little over 20 lbs but wasn't fat ( I have no idea what kind of cat though), he was just a huge cat, as in really long, tall and had very wide shoulders.

yah dude, my cat is expected to grow to over 20 lbs. he is a big breed though. and there's no problems with him falling into water, neways, cause he loves it. seriously. check out some of the results you get on google for "turkish van" they're beastly lookin(as far as cats go, anyways lol) and they absolutely love water. most bizzare thing.

My cat used to watch me shower and then slowly it progressed to her playing with the water with her paws, getting her head wet, etc and now she just freaking jumps in with me whenever I shower. Weird cat I know. Luckily she never freaked out and clawed me. That would hurt like hell, FYL.
