Today, while my 18 pound cat was on the edge of the tub watching me shower, he fell in. Apparently, in his mind, the best way to get away from the water is to climb my bare legs. FML

Today, I was taking a bath after a long day at work. I closed my eyes and listened to music. My cat thought this was the perfect time to come out of his hiding spot and jump in the bath. Once he realized it was filled with water, he freaked out and dug his claws into my face. FML

Today, my cat followed me into the bathroom. While I was showering, he knocked over the storage shelf behind the toilet. The shelf was the perfect length to wedge the shower door completely closed. No one was home so I had to climb over my tall shower door all slippery and naked. FML

Today, I was enjoying a nice bath, when one of my cats jumped up on the rim and started purring. I thought it was sweet, until my other cat ran in and body-slammed the first into the tub with me. Being a conscientious cat owner, I hadn't de-clawed them. FML

Today, I tried to give my cat a bath after he got into the attic and got covered in all sorts of shit. Halfway through, he freaked out, jumped out of the tub, and ran around the house dripping wet. He then hid under my bed, and I had to practically dismantle it to get him out. Now my bedroom smells like wet fur and broken trust. FML

You're stupid if you think 18 pounds is overweight for a cat. You obviously don't know anything about the different cat breeds, and that many of them are naturally large. 18 pounds is not a huge size for many types of cat.

I know. My cat is about 18lbs, but he is also nearly 2 feet long (not including his tail). But he is not fat at all. He is also not an American Shorthair... he is most likely a Nebelung, which are extremely long lean cats.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that. Funny that your cat likes to watch you shower, though. Mine won't even go into the bathroom. People who think 18 pounds is huge for a cat are stupid. Some breeds are naturally large. I have a Maine Coon who is sitting pretty at a very healthy 17 pounds, and she is small for her breed.
