Today, while on my way to the movies, I stopped at a gas station to pick up candy so I could avoid the high prices at the movies. The guy who tore my ticket asked for my purse, confiscated my candy, and then kicked me out of the movie theater. That guy was my boyfriend. FML

They, by law, can't search your purse. They need a warrant to do so.

They can ask to open it and dump it out or if you refuse then they make you leave. Why do people think everything needs a warrant lol

Call and talk to his manager. Even if you allowed him to search it, he cannot take your possessions that you paid for and then kick you out. He could maybe make you leave the candy with him while you went in the movie, or just kick you out, but taking it AND kicking you out is definitely in the wrong.

Why are people moaning that OP went to the movies without her boyfriend?? ... in real relationships, people aren't joined at the hip. They have separate interests and friends. My boyfriend goes out without me all the time, and I got out without him. Jeez.

I had a friend who's girlfriend was like that. We'd go to the cinema sometimes as a group, and his grilfriend (who we didn't even know that well) would insist on going EVERY time, even though she'd spend the entire bitching and complaining about how much she hated the movie. It eventually got so bad that we just stopped hanging around him.

1) Dump his ass. 2) Report to the theater that he went through your purse and say he took the candy for your diabetes. If he claims to know you then act like you don't know him and he's some type of stalker. payback basically
