Today, while on the treadmill, my iPod fell and shot out underneath my feet. I got off to get it, and when I tried to get back on, I slipped and fell on my face on the moving track. The whole gym watched me get beat up by a treadmill and clapped when I finally got back on. FML

Today, I joined a gym. I’m overweight and not very athletic, so I was nervous. I looked around and tried a treadmill. I start walking at a chill pace, then got ambitious and cranked it to a "light jog." Within seconds, I tripped, fell, and sent the emergency stop button flying across the room. The gym staff ran over and I swear someone said, “Well, at least he’s trying.” FML

#14, just because he was using a treadmill doesn't mean he's fat. I run on a treadmill everyday to stay toned and to keep in shape. Lots of people that are in perfectly good shape use treadmills, to make sure they stay that way. OP, although I feel bad for you, this is totally a YDI. You never get on a moving treadmill - it's dangerous. If you have to get off for any reason, turn it off first.

this is why there is a pause button on every treadmill

and a key that can be pulled out for an automatic stop in an emergency

Bahaha! That's hilarious. Don't they have a safety clip so if you fall, the clip gets pulled out and stops the machine? YDI a) for trying to navigate a moving treadmill and b) for not using the safety clip (or for going to a gym with such shitty treadmills that they don't have that common safety feature).

HURR DURR I KNOW HOW TO OPERATE A TREADMILL You fail

Why must everyone always clap? Like when planes land, etc.

I can honestly say, I have never been on an airplane where people clapped when it landed.

It's hysterical. Next time, start it yourself. I can almost guarantee that everyone will follow (especially if you get the people next to you in on it).

@49: I have, multiple times. It stems from experiencing an unusual amount of turbulence during the flight. I sort of get a thrill from turbulence so it doesn't bother me as much.

(standsz up and clapsz for you) conqradualtionszzzzzzzzzz you have completed my niqht lmao
