Today, while out for lunch, a guy approached me and asked for my number. I politely declined. To my dismay, he dropped to his knees, grabbed his head, and started moaning about how nobody ever gives him a chance. I felt the accusing stares. FML

Find someone giving you the glare and say "hey, that person over there looks like she'd give you a chance."

Maybe he studies psychology and is VERY good at what he does...

Wear a ring then you could get off without hurting someone's feelings. And easily removed for hotties.

Damn...I actually sympathize with the guy just a little bit...That's not a good sign for my next 6 months...

As embarrassing as getting rejected is, he actual made worse with his reaction. I wonder if he always does that..

I mean you could have still gave the poor guy your number. Just saying.

I have no sympathy for this guy. If you didn't feel like dating anyone currently, there's no shame in turning him down, not to mention his horrible delivery without even taking the time to get to know you. Sounds like he was being superficial.

Poor guy, he probably has emotional issues, or maybe it was just the "straw that broke the camel's back" sort of thing. That must have been really awkward for you OP, you don't have to give him your number but maybe you should've given him the number for a good therapist, it would probably be more helpful anyway.

That sucks op. I bet it put you in a difficult position. Especially if you have a boyfriend.
