Today, while playing soccer, I was kicked so hard in the shin that my tibia snapped. The snap was so loud that even the audience heard. As we waited for an ambulance, my mom started yelling for me to get off the field so the game could continue. FML

broken_tibia tells us more.

clarification: I was wearing a shin-gaurd (clearly not a very good one...), the kick had enough force to break my leg anyways. Also, I only know about the loud crack because people told me about it, I didn't hear it myself (I was too busy writhing in agony to register much of anything really).

its kind of hard to walk on a broken leg. if they wanted to play so bad they shouldve carried OP off of the field. and it doesnt always matter how much calcium intake you have, bones can still break with enough force. just saying.

Well you could have hobbled/crawled off the field, I'd be pissed if I had to wait for the ambulance to come and remove you before starting the game too

What the **** is wrong with you? You've obviously never felt pain like that. The pain is great enough to make you pass out. There's no ******* way I'd crawl off the field like that, just so the game could continue. I highly doubt you would either.

Next time get the **** off the field so the game can continue. You're incredibly selfish.

Go break your Tibia on a field and see of you can walk away. 99% chance you sit there crying. Think before you write.

I know sarcasm is lost in text and all but my above statement is screaming with sarcasm. GTFO.

The sarcasm is not strong in this one master mintcar.

Well, I thought obvious sarcasm in my post was obvious. Anyways, even if someone is lacking common sense, they should be able to understand the severity of a tibia fracture. If some had commented saying " YDI for putting too much stress on your bone by continuos muscle contraction, " I would assume they were kidding or being sarcastic. Anyways, maybe it wasn't too clear. But now (s)he knows.

Aww! Mother dear loves you so much, doesn't she, darling?

Exceedingly so, darling, after the game it will be all spiffy again and they'll join us with some tea and biscuits. Ohohohohoho! <3

anyone else realise the tibia would take a shitload of force to break. I'm calling fake on this one

Not always, darling. I've seen someone's tibia snap while they were running a marathon. Nasty sight to behold! Edit) Oh wow, that was fast! Didn't even get time to properly reply!

Haha i love your mom. sorry, drink milk. my mom yells at me at every game even when im doing good

That's why you wear shin guards, tough guy.

He never said he wasn't. I'm pretty sure injuries can still happen when you're in your gear. A girl I know brøke her leg during soccer and she was in full gear.

Remind her you'll be picking out her nursing home.

You should have hopped off the field on your good leg, you selfish prick. Some people find soccer entertaining, including your mom, so why did you have to ruin her fun with your self-indulgent pity party? Hey, she pushed you through out through her ****** so you could live, and that hurts more than a broken leg, so you should have gotten your lame-ass off the field so the game could go on.
