You're doing it wrong. Even if you were trying to emphasize the sheer amount of material you have to digest, it's still better to highlight key ideas/concepts and be able to explain them in your own words. Otherwise, you don't learn anything by relying on massive chunks of highlighted text.
Looks like you need to learn how to highlight effectively...sucks but it's a learning process, everyone has to do it eventually. Kinda surprised you managed to make it to med school without acquiring that skill though...
I don't understand, sorry I'm a little slow today.
I do that all the time!
If this person is in med school, I think her/his study habits are probably doing okay. You can offer your advice after you get in... or do you want a doctor who only paid attention to the "important" diseases?
Let's just hope the book was yours to own......
Good luck. I was dating/engaged to my now wife as she was going through med school. We used to make flash cards, and I would quiz her. It gave us time together, plus helped her study. If you have a significant other, I'd recommend trying that.
R u in med school? That's how it is for every text I own

Uugh I hate it when that happens!
Just go on and highlight the book at this point. It's all kind of important.
