Today, while suffering from a serious migraine. I have to cook dinner and listen to the singing of two very tone deaf individuals. I'm starting to contemplate sticking forks in my ears. FML

They won't stop if you tell them you have a really bad migraine???? Idk what kind of people would keep just keep singing..

Just stab them in the throat with the forks instead.

Seriously, I don't care if they are your kids nor how much you love them, but your health matters too, parent or not! Tell the children to he quiet because mommy/daddy is very sick and noise makes you even sicker. make a game out of it or supply them thing to do that isn't necessarily noisy like art. No music. No TV. If they complain, just stop cooking and go lie in a dark room. they will know you are serious business after one night without dinner (one night with no dinner would not harm most children. some illnesses it would though so take what I said with an extra big helping of salt.) If they are adults... what the ****? tell them to shut hell up because you have a migraine. and why are you cooking for everyone when ill? have some one else do it. even if it's pancakes or PB&JS for dinner, doesn't matter, you are I'll, they are not and they can grow the **** up. If these are neighbors and you have paper thin walls... RIP you *pat pat* you have my deepest sympathies (or you could go and talk to your neighbors if you can think of way tactfully request they be quieter for a couple of hours. they might be "tone deaf", but that doesn't necessarily make them awful people with no sense of empathy.

There's little thing called talking to them......works when you explain you want to stab yourself

Daith piercing, I'm serious. As a chronic migraine sufferer, it saved me taking a long walk off a short pier.

Get noise canceling earbuds if you can afford it, I wouldn't be able to last a day sane without it.
