You really didn't think that one through there, OP. YDI
I'm glad he was honest but that's what you get for giving him money
That is why I don't give then cash. I just go to the closest subway and have a healthy and possibly life saving sandwich made, grab a soda and give it to them.
Healthy sandwich and then a fizzy drink? :(

Show it anyway#35 what the hell are you on about? You do realise that in some countries/regions they refer to sodas as fizzy drinks? Where I'm from we call them soft drinks or cool drinks. There's no need to be such a dick just because she used a term that's unfamiliar to you
36 she said that because there are "fizzy drinks" which are not at all bad for you. Kinda like calling all soda "coke". It's misleading and incorrect.
OP will do the same next time...he will take the homeless to bar and buy him drinks...
You took a chance, and you were let down. Honesty is the best policy and he was rewarded for it.
You shouldn't feel bad at least you helped him achieve his goal for the day, way to go teamwork!
At least he was honest. I reward honesty. No shame in that OP. What he does after you offer help is on him
what he was honest
Punctuation, please.
You don't go to the big city much, do you? Next time if you see a homeless guy with a sign like that, just buy him a sandwich.
last time we saw some homeless people we gave them our leftovers from Paula Deens, they dove right into it. never give them money.
I worked a restaurant in a Canadian resort town when I was a teenager. We had a tip jar, and tried several signs. TIPS worked ok. TIPPING IS NOT A RIVER IN CHINA worked better. But the tips really started to flow in when we changed the sign to BEER MONEY.
That made me literally LOL. I'll have to try that, now!
