That is ridiculous that, not only is the 7 year old not potty trained, but is also allowed to attend daycare. And for everyone saying things about the kid possibly having a disability.... If you work at a daycare, you are informed of a child's special needs by your director/supervisor. Plus, if you are spending time with kids daily, you will NOTICE when a child has something wrong with them. I know this because Ive worked in childcare for years..
for all we know OP may be aware of a disability the child has (if they do) and simply did not say so in the fml
If He's seven then he'd be in first grade and schools require kids to be toilet trained.
Not sure if this applies to op, but those who have said "the op wouldn't be complaining if the child had special needs" unfortunately, this isn't true. I work with children with autism, when shadowing at a daycare, I saw some awful treatment of the boy I was there for, he was five and not toilet trained. They totally resented having to do their job and change his nappy (just a pull up so he'd just have to stand there while you pulled it off and put on a fresh one). They'd leave him in it (once I saw this happening I took over and would change it straight away) , act like it was such a big deal, and say awful condescending things to him. So unfortunately, people are often very unkind to those with special needs (again, not saying this is what op has done).
It's appalling how common this is, I've seen it happen in a care home for the elderly/disabled. When I tried to report it, I was told 'compassion is not a job requirement'. Ridiculous. Maybe OP was simply too frustrated at the end of a bad day to add detail.
Someone needs to man up and say something to the parents ! Sometimes the truth hurts! God only knows that,. For god sake talk to them.
At least you just changed a diaper which you take off and dispose of. It's better than scraping the poop out of a kids underwear when they have an accident.
Tell him the next time he does that he will be killed by the Klingons around Uranus.
Lazy parents.
parents of the year? i think not
Well, if the kid is seven and wearin diapers (pull ups, more likely), it most likely means that parents are aware of the issue. The child may have had some developmental problems, or perhaps has a disorder of some sort where it's uncontrollable. I'm sure that there's more to the story.

Yikes. I thought kids of a certain age HAD to be toilet trained in order to attend day care.
"Yes, hello? Your kid... well, just come on down and see for yourself. You might want to hurry."
