For some reason I have a feeling you work for Starbucks. Good job for long term. Hang in there.
Yeap. Starbucks is everywhere, once I saw an intersection where all four corners marinated a Starbucks.
Marinated?
Those meaty coffee shops, wallowing in the money they juice from the passing cars.
Probably looms like you threw up
Yes if OP threw up coffee...then yes it would look like they thre up
I don't see the relevance of the price of the coffee vis-a-vis your meager wages. Sometimes, short FMLs can be quite entertaining. "Today, a trash bag broke and I got soaked in coffee. FML" would hae worked fine. I hear they pay better down at the sperm bank, but the spill-related FMLs are infinitely more gross.
The minimum wage where I come from is 18,5 dollar/hour! That's one expensive coffee!
Where the hell do you come from? The state I live in its still only $7.25.
You obviously don't live in the US. If you do, you're lying, because the highest minimum wage is $9.04.
Pretty sure since OP is from the states that minimum wage is not nearly that much where he's from. Probably more like 7-9 dollars (which is still ridiculous for a coffee, but some people are willing to pay that much)
The way 19 uses a comma instead of a decimal, I'd imagine it's in another currency other than dollars.
The way 19 uses a comma instead of a decimal, I like to imagine it's $18,500/hr and they forgot the zeroes. Zimbabwe, perhaps?
I am going to take a guess and say Lloydminster, Canada. Oil country where a carton of milk costs $12.00. Minimum wage working at McDonalds, last I checked was $17.00.
Yeah probably either up north or Alberta. In bc it's 10,50 an hour going up to 11 in the next couple of months.
Why is 60 downthumbed? I live in Alberta and make 26$ an hour.. Starting wage for the McDonalds here is 16$ an hour.
44# The currency where I live is DKK, but I wrote it in english, since it's more understandable for everyone on this site. In Europe we use kommas and punktionmarks the other way around. That means that 18,500 dollars is = eighteen and a half dollar, and 18.500 is = eighteenthousand fivehundred dollars!
No it's not Sdubal33, The minimum wage in BC is $10.25 and is most certainly not going up to $11.00 in the near future. It was just recently bumped up to where it is now.
There is NO province or territory in Canada where the minimum wage is $16. I'm sure there are McDonald's there who will pay people that much because they're desperate for workers, but that doesn't make it the 'minimum' wage. The highest minimum wage in Canada is Nunavut and it's $11/hr.
85-that's why I said STARTING WAGE... Mcdonalds here has to offer that much to start, because if they didn't, they'd have no fulltime workers. Anyone who's graduated can get a starting position in the patch for 20$ an hour, so non-oil-related businesses have to compete. Sad but true unfortunately...
That's one hell of a job
22 - I think he was kidding..
Warning: Coffee is hot
Except for when it's in the garbage

Drink a big cup of joe and venti some of that frustration out.
That doesn't sound like a very flavorable position you've bean placed into. Try milking your boss for all you're worth, you might get a latte money! Hey, it's worth a shot!
