She pointed out the price and all because she's disgusted at how some people waste more than some people make...it's one of the US' most disgusting habits.
Work somewhere less snobby and where you don't have to empty the garbage?
ooh, joys of California.
the best part of waking up is Folgers in your cups
Well you should of asked her first. She shouldn't of had a meltdown, but her input really mattered. They aren't just toys, they're cherished memories and so much more. If toys were like Toy Story we would of all had even better childhoods.
Wrong FML buddy!
Maybe you wouldn't have to schlepp so much garbage if you drained the leftover coffee in the sink before throwing away the cups. Why would a coffee shop pay to transport gallons of their coffee to a landfill every day? If the customers who drink their coffee at the shop would get a proper mug instead of a cardboard one, there would be hardly any trash at all.
When I read that the cups were half-full, I assumed it was trash cans that the customers themselves threw partial cups of coffee into, not the employees. Though I do agree that if you're staying there, you should have the option of a coffee mug instead of a paper cup.
I work at McDonalds and I have to deal with that shit all the time. My salary is also less than most customers orders, bit do you see me bitching about it? No! Well yeah, a bit now bit still ... Suck it up!
I can relate, OP. I work at a complimentary breakfast bar at a hotel. It's just not a regular day if I don't have orange juice or coffee on my pants. People think that it's somehow okay to toss full glasses of open liquids in the trash can.
So you work at Starbucks?

Drink a big cup of joe and venti some of that frustration out.
That doesn't sound like a very flavorable position you've bean placed into. Try milking your boss for all you're worth, you might get a latte money! Hey, it's worth a shot!
