Today, with the cost of craft supplies that ended in a DIY fail, then a costume and overnight shipping, I have now spent $90 to obtain a $10 hat and vest for my daughter to play a cow in the school Christmas play. She will say "Moo" three times with 5 other cows before leaving the stage. FML

I know plenty of kids who would kill for a mom like you. it does suck that all of that money went to waste, especially around Christmas time, but just remember that you did a very nice thing for your daughter, and you're a great mom :)

They probably did because if you notice it says "Today, with the cost of craft supplies that ended in a DIY fail". So maybe the OP started making when they found out but due to lack of time or too many mistakes that plan failed, so they had to buy one.

Could have used face pain to put black cow spots on her face and a sharpie to draw cow spots on.a white sweatshirt and pants.

You should just save the costume for maybe your daughter's children for Halloween or something, or give it to a niece or or nephew. Don't beat yourself up, you're a great mom for doing that for your daughter.
