Too late

Today, I was at my friend's house. It was dark and downpouring so I couldn't see as I was backing out of his driveway. I made it out, but then my phone went off, scaring me, and I accidentally hit the gas pedal, hitting his neighbor's parked car. Turns out he called to warn me to watch out for it. FML

You should have looked around your car before you got in to see what was around it. Also, if your instinct is to press down on the gas rather than release it and consider braking, you're not ready to drive alone.

I had this happen to me once (except with a trashcan.) Totally plausible.

51 is totally right. XD where do you guys get these scary ringtones? The only ringtones I can get are the ones already on the phone or bits of songs....

You totally deserved it. Don't back out unless you can see. Turn your damn lights on. Who presses their accelerator when trying to press the brakes? I'll tell you: bad drivers. Learn to drive.

Wait wait wait......... you got scared by your OWN PHONE ringing ????? wow.

Don't feel bad my boyfriend knows not to let me drive or do anything at night. I cannot see in the dark... At all.

Isn't a rule of thumb to always have your foot on the break while in reverse?

Why was your phone on when you were driving to BEGIN with?
