Today, I got prostate examination for the first time. Now I can't decide what's worse, the fact that I got a boner when the doctor inserted his finger, or the fact that my wife told the story to pretty much everybody we know. FML

Don't worry about the boner too much, lots of guys like the feeling of having their prostate stimulated....it's really pretty normal, most just are too worried cause they think it means they're gay or something

And even without that detail, they typically don't let female doctors work on male patients down below, and vice versa

Um no there are plenty of male doctors that are Obgyns and women docs that are Urologist that see men. There is no rule that men can't treat women or vice versa. I mean the above is one of the dumbest comments I've ever read. Now if you are more comfortable with the same sex doctor you can go to one.

I agree. Sharing that embarassing tidbit with her didn't mean she needs to repeat it and make you feel stupid. BTW: Sharing it with millions anonymously is not as embarassing as facing one person hearing the story. That's why postsecret is such a success!

Why did you tell your wife? I can't imagine your wife was in the exam room when the doctor was performing the procedure... Regardless, you're not alone. I have my prostate checked frequently... by cocks. They have the same effect on me.
