Today, I had to sit through yet another one of my mom's, "You need to grow and gain some weight!" rants. I'm 22 and she doesn't believe me when I tell her I'm done growing. I'm pretty sure I'm not getting past 5'2". FML

5'5 is roughly average, it isn't considered short. As for your weight, I'm sure a few donuts can take care of it lol.

Don't worry about it op, I'm tiny too, and I've had to listen to those talks as well. At least you're not abnormally tall though! Being small makes me feel like a ninja

Well, you might not grow more vertically, but you still can do it horizontally! Moms are like that, always want the best for us although they ask for the impossible sometimes.

I once heard that it's common to grow only 2/3 inches more after a girl first gets her period.

Of course there's exceptions, depending on diet, health, genetics etc... you can still continue to grow (height). But on "average" ex: if you first get your period at say age 13 ? then many will only grow 2/3 inches between the age of that 13 to 18/21 (when most girls stop growing).

I've never heard of that. My sister got hers pretty early, and she grew a good 4 or 5 inches. After mine, I grew about 2 or 3 but I'm still growing. That's interesting though.

I'm 15 and I got my first period when I was 10, and I've grown about two inches since then. I still have a couple years, so I may grow a tiny bit more, but I'm 5'6 right now
