Trickster

Today, while waiting for a job interview, a woman sat down next to me and asked if I was here for the job too. Thinking she was also an applicant, I tried to demoralise her, and said the job was going to be a complete joke. With that, she stood up and said, "Do you still want to go into my office?" She was the interviewer. FML

Failure is inevitable. At one point in time you think you are making a witty joke but in reality you might just be digging your own grave.

Karma's a bitch but then again so are you.

Why would you say a job you are applying for is a joke?

Agreed. If I was applying for a job and somebody tried to pull that shit on me, I might just casually mention during MY interview that some guy in the lobby/waiting area was talking shit about their company. (The key is to drop it into the conversation on a vaguely-related tangent and pretend that I don't know the person I'm talking about is an applicant, so they don't think I'm just trying to sabotage the competition)

Why would you even post this here? You might as well have posted "Today, I'm a ******* idiot who can't even stand on my own merits, who stupidly tried to sabotage someone's interview, because I'm *that* much of a douche, and then I decided to go online and tell everyone what an asshole I am!"

I'm going to go ahead and submit that as an FML, see how well that pans out. Would you vote yes to moderate it, please?

How would telling the apparent competition the job is a joke demoralize the other applicants? Maybe I'm the exception but I never take a stranger's opinion too seriously. Especially when the stranger is a potential rival.
