Its all in the training. If a strange would even walk toward my daughter, my boxer would between them in seconds showing teeth. Oh course my dog will get her off the buss if I tell her to and get me a beer.

It really is. I have three dogs. One I've raised and trained since early puppyhood, one was turned out by a neighbor who didn't want him anymore, and the other was a stray. Samson has always put himself between me and anything he deems dangerous. The other two....not so much.

No, some cats are fierce protectors. Try googling "Cat saves boy from dog attack" for an impressive YouTube video of a cat putting a world of flying hurt on a dog that attacked a toddler.

Thank you. He probably has one of those little rat dogs that yip. Live in Memphis but I have never had a problem when I'm out with my dog. Even when I go out running around midnight. But he is a 95lb German Sheppard. People wont even approach me unless I make him sit first.
