Unhinged

Today, my girlfriend yelled at me for not showing up to her mother's birthday party. I didn't go because I had to finish a project for work over the weekend. This is the same person who refused to go to my father's funeral because she, "didn't feel like getting dressed up." FML

Now I would have dumped her after the funeral incident. But you didn't, so I doubt you will now. You probably have some excuse to make up for it, like she's the perfect girlfriend in every other way, or you love her. But from the limited 200 character fml you wrote, she sounds like a selfish, unsympathetic, one ticket trip into crazy town that I for one don't have time for. You probably won't, but my two cents is to run. And YDI for not leaving her sooner when she already showed you her colors.

I couldn't agree more. Something as selfish as not going to a parents funeral would be a deal breaker. Who needs someone in their life who won't support them in hard times

Now I'm not usually one to go for the immediate "dump them" approach but, if she's not willing to be with you in such a dire time of need, when you need all the support you can get. There's no future with her and if there's no future with someone there's no point in continuing the relationship.

If your partner is not supporting you in times of need or in work but expects you to support them, that is a one sided relationship and will not work out. My suggestion is to break up because it does not sound like the best relationship.

You should dump her, bro. It sounds like it's a very unfair relationship where she expects you to do things for her, but for her to not have to do anything for you. It's not healthy and you deserve better.

Why in the world are you still with someone who refused to go to your father's funeral for such a stupid reason? Normally I'd say yeah f your life but in the case you invited it in by staying with someone so horrendously selfish. My mom passed away in 2015, if someone had given me that excuse for not attending her funeral while we were dating they'd have been gone without hesitation. Honestly, what reason could you have for continuing a relationship with someone who is like that? It's absolute agony when a parent dies.

Leave the bitch, too self centered. Just by the two incidents named I can guarantee there have been and will be many MANY more...
