Vicious circle

Today, my car was impounded because I never registered it in California after moving here. In order to get it back, I need to register it. In order to register it, I need to pass a CA smog check. In order to pass the smog check, I need my car. FML

Easy solution... get temporary registration for your car from the DMV. go get your car smogged, turn in registration.... DUH... you're making it too difficult

This is a split decision. I voted for both because you should have registered your car (duh), but that really really sucks that you can't reverse this situation.
