Volley girl

Today, I had a volleyball game, and we were down by 13 points. I looked up at the crowd, and my mom was shaking her head in disappointment. When it was my turn to serve, I aced them, and tied the score. When I looked up she was gone. She'd left. When I got home, I heard how I sucked for an hour. FML

Well so much for parental support. Congrats on your ace though

That's awful and uncalled for. I hope you told her what happened after she left and that she changes her tune. Congratulations on your ace and game being tied!

And this is the part where you don't invite her to your events from now on. If she's not going to support you when you're down she doesn't deserve to be a part of your victories. I hope you have someone else in your life that celebrates your successes, OP.

she forgets that she suck at parenting...

Mom sure dropped the ball on that one.

This is why you should not allow other people to affect your feelings of self worth. It seems as if the OP is pretty good at what they do despite what their mother thinks.

**** parents, man. The amount of shitty parents on this site is ridiculous. Good on you, OP. I'm sure your team is proud of you and you are proud of yourself.

I'm going to be blunt here: "And the bitch of the year award goes to..."

That's a horrible thing for her to do... Sounds like a toxic relationship :/

Spend the next hour telling her how much she sucks for not being there for you!

I hate how competitive parents get over their children's sports. You want to see them grow and have fun with the game. You're not supposed to tell them how much of a failure they are over something small.
