I feel really bad for you!
wait. then why did she go to your restaurant?? I'm not just concerned about the problem. It's why did she show up to a restaurant where she KNOWS where you work and to celebrate a birthday without inviting you because you obviously work there? WTF seriously.
Waiters can have the best revenge ;-)
Maybe the party was planned by someone other than the friend. Maybe her Mom and Dad. sho did not know OP very well, didn't know where or when she worked. Maybe it was family only. If the friend knew OP was working and intentionally went to her place of work for her birthday party and did not tell OP about it, then she is not much of a friend.
In which case, Best Friend should have asked about inviting OP. It's one thing if OP couldn't attend because she had to work, but to not invite someone to your best friend's birthday celebration and then go to the restaurant where she works is just mean.
Time to rethink the best friend title
I hope you didn't have to take care of their table/party personally.
Perhaps they held it there precisely because they knew you would be there...
