You should make the effort to go see him. I hated that about my last relationship. I was the one doing all the travelling and all I got were excuses when I asked her to come see me. it sucks. if you care about someone you make the time to spend time with them.especially when they are doing that for you.

I used to think the same when I would bring my girlfriend to my moms house every holiday. But it turns out my folks just love seeing us together, not that they prefer seeing her over me. I think it's the same in your case, but either way, take the positives from this. At least getting hitched would be smooth sailing in terms of the relationship between your family and your lady!

This sounds like something my cousin would say because he walks in and barely gets a hello but his girlfriend walks in and everyone says hello and stops what they are doing to go and hug her
