Today, my new neighbor moved in. Because she was fairly young, I offered to mow her grass whenever it needed cut. Her dad then tried to start a fight with me because he thought it was sexual come-on. FML

The way you worded this makes it seem like she still lives with her parents. If so, why didn't you talk to them about mowing the grass?

I'm a girl, and I learned how to mow when I was 18. If the father lives with her, then you shouldn't have offered. If the father doesn't live with her and he found out anyway, chances are she told him out of concern.

I'm confused by this. why would you approach her and not the dad about mowing the grass. usually it's the parents who take care of that kind if stuff, not the kids.
