Well that's kind of hypocrite. As long as the girls in the club are someone else's daughters it's fine, and now it's worth an FML?
Considering that most patrons go to a strip club for visual stimulation, yes it is an FML (the FML being more for OP's friend, rather than OP, though it is to a lesser extent for being the cause of that, though inadvertently).
Christmas is going to be awkward this year...
If you and your friend are going to a strip club, then you have no right to look down on his daughter for being a dancer. The reason that job exists is because people like you exist, creating a market for it (and "people like you" is not meant as an insult. I mean that you are the consumer).
I was thinking that they'd be more upset that she was stripping where they were, imagine having your dad be a stripper, gonna ruin your night out.
well was his daughter hot?
I don't think anyone is trying to say that people who work at strip clubs are inherently bad people, I hope not. It's just not the type of place you would really want to suddenly see people you know, as a patron or employee. There's a huge stigma and if the person is a stripper, it would be extremely awkward seeing the later if you didn't already know they work there. Especially for a relative and someone's child too. Not a situation people generally want to be in or really think about.
Lmao poor dude!!!
I wonder what his wife thinks about the whole situation.. don't know what's worse: your husband going to a strip club or your daughter working in it? Boh.. tough one!!!
Serves both of you right. Going to those places to enjoy other people's daughters is fine, but when it's your own, it's suddenly one big drama? If you're the kind of men that don't want their daughters to be a stripper, don't pay to see others people's daughters be a stripper either. Ridiculous double standard, YDI.
Have you considered the fact that it had nothing to do with them not wanting her to be a stripper, but more that you wouldn't suddenly want to see your scantily clad daughter/best friend's daughter because of how awkward that conversation would be? The FML in no way indicates they were judging her for it, which would have been hypocritical. Chances are it just ruined their guys night out.

Oh my god! There is no way you could have known... don't feel too bad
Your poor best friend. He will probably never be able to look at his daughter the same way after seeing that.
