What the…?

By tor - This FML is from back in 2009 but it's good stuff - United States

Today, one of my bosses came into work and told me that they had seen my dad's twin in the supermarket holding hands and kissing a much younger woman and her baby. My dad doesn't have a twin. FML

Um.. I think he meant to use "twin" as a phrase. I.E, "you could be twins!"

I think she meant that the baby could be her dad's, with the younger woman. As in, she has a very young sibling.

#30 ftw, anyone? And despite what a lot of people said, I think your boss was trying to tactfully inform you that your dad is cheating on your mom. Unless they're divorced?

aha. either your dad has another family you don't know about, orrr a twin brother you don't know about.

It was nice of your boss to tell you in a discreet way. If that really was your dad FYL. You might have a baby sibling.

Maybe that person is a twin of somebody who looks a lot like your father. Sounds ok, innit? :)

it's his evil twin ;) everyone knows that evil twins aren't realated by birth. Or your father is his evil twin :o

why there are some people who say that you deserved that? you didn't do anything to deserve it!

OP, I think you've taken the comment completely out of context. I know I say to people all the time that I saw their twin, which I (typically) use to say I saw someone who looked similar to the person and made me think of him or her. Your boss most likely saw someone who bore a resemblance to your father and thought to tell you when he saw you again at work. I wouldn't take it too seriously.
