Who am I?

Today, I discovered my wife and I have referred to our two-year-old as 'Cutie' or 'Beautiful' so many times she won't respond to her own name. FML

Good job. I applaud you. Now you must go get her name legally changed. I can just imagine 23 years in the future when a guy is hitting on her: "what's your name, beautiful?" "My name's Beautiful." "Your name is beautiful? What is it then?" "Beautiful." "Okay, but what is your name, cutie?" "You know my middle name?" "How would I know your middle name if you won't even tell me your first name?!" "My name is Beautiful Cutie." "oh, you're flirting back now?" "I give up."

Ha! She'll grow out of it... Trust me. That happened to me when I was little(: my parents always called me Precious, so that was the only thing I would answer to. Thank God I grew out of THAT name! Lol especially after that movie came out.

I call my daughter by her name and by a few nicknames, she answers to all of them but knows which one her real name is.

Aw that's so cute. But for future reference, children are like young puppies. You have to address them by their name consistently so they get used to hearing it, and that they'll respond to it when they hear it.

No worries at all, i found out my first name in kindergarten due to my family always calling me by my middle name, either way a kid will get accustomed to it kind of like a nickname
