Today, while I was at work, I heard one of my employees laughing on the phone. I told him to shut up and get back to work. Turns out he was actually crying because his father had just died. FML

YDI for being a dick manager. If an employee needs to get off the phone and get back to work, "Shut up and get back to work" is a complete asshole way to ask them to do so.

ydi for being a shitty boss! it is NOT ok to speak to people that way just because you're their boss. i can't stand bully bosses. that just guarantees your employees wont work their hardest for you.
