Wrong end of the stick

Today, while teaching my kindergarten class, I had a feeling I was starting my period again. A boy in the class asked me what a period was. Stressing over my own, I briefly told him it's a woman's time of the month when they have mood swings. He was asking about the dot at the end of a sentence. FML

it's never too early for sex ed :P he's a boy he will think about it sooner or later, what's wrong with sooner?!

And why exactly did you say something out loud about a period? Unless the boy was just telepathic and was reading your mind so he asked.

She should have asked the student what he was talking about before even speaking. But this is just my opinion.

... that wasn't your place to tell him what that was...

has anyone even considered that while she was worried/ stressing that she may have started her period, she was consumed by her thoughts and when her student asked her what a period was, her menstrual period is what came to mind. she clearly wasn't thinking straight about the fact of where she was or who was asking.

WHOA!!! I can't believe that I didn't see that coming. :o

im sorry but i couldnt help laughing my butt off(:

You shouldn't have told him that. After all the kid is in kindergarten

Don't see what the problem is, it's very unlikely he'd have actually fully understood what she said
