Wrong end of the stick

Today, while teaching my kindergarten class, I had a feeling I was starting my period again. A boy in the class asked me what a period was. Stressing over my own, I briefly told him it's a woman's time of the month when they have mood swings. He was asking about the dot at the end of a sentence. FML

#52 FTW Honestly, if you had to tell a 5 year old about a period, that's probably the safest thing you could've said so it'll probably all just blow over.

why would you tell a kindergarten student about menstration?

lol, i agree with #79. He is in kindergarten. He wont learn about menstruation until about 4th to 5th grade...

Nice job perpetuating the stereotype that women can't control their emotions because of their periods.

this clearly isnt even true. a kindergarden teacher would know what he was talking about the period at the end of a sentence, like #81 stated, he wont learn baout menstruation till about 4thor 5th grade....

this story is from an elementary school joke, and is untrue. also, the kid wouldnt have understood and u could've handled the situation easily - thats if u are a qualified teacher.

Dude, I do that kind of thing all the time. Bummer ;[
