Today, a very pretty girl came up to me and asked me for my phone number. Very pleased, I give it to her with a huge smile and tell her that I can be reached at any time. I then watch her go back to her group of friends. My number was for her gay friend, who then meekly waved at me. FML

Today, my friend and I went to a bar for drinks. I noticed this cute girl and went over to say "Hi." I had a great conversation with her and I asked for her number before she left. She passed it to me on a piece of paper with instructions specifying for my friend to call her and not me. FML

Today, I gave my phone number to a guy at the movie theatre. I was excited to receive a text a few minutes later, sure enough when I unlocked my phone I had received a message from an unknown number. It was his girlfriend. FML

Okay, your points are valid but for some other situation. You're not even talking about this FML - who said it was a set up? If it was, OP would have mentioned it. The "Too bad" implies that it wasn't a set up and she just happened to be there. Yes, it's good to have friends that are girls but OP was clearly getting excited because it was a "more than just friends" thing, or else he wouldn't have posted this FML.

Wait, how is he unfaithful? There was nothing directly saying he would cheat... and it depends on what sort of person he is whether he would. It isn't really grounds for a girlfriend to get angry, unless there was flirting or something else.
