You kinda deserved that one

Today, I was walking down the street when a homeless man asked me for some spare change. I told him I didn't have any. I then tripped. Not only spilling the soda I was drinking all over myself, but also spilling the spare change I had from buying it. FML

oh come on. How many of you guys ignore the hobo when you walk down the street? A lot of them buy drugs and booze with it anyway

Bloody homeless people, spending their money on drugs and alcohol!!!.......Exactly what I do with my money. What do you expect them to do with your spare change? Save up, buy a coffee table from Ikea to go in their cardboard living room???

Haha, that's what you get for being greedy and a liar

it sucks because some peeps just act homeless to get money so thats what my dad taught me to do without the tripping part

Wow. Forreal ? Yeah. Just call the guy a dick. How do you know he had to use the money for something else that day ? Some people don't like giving change to homeless people , Because they think they're going to spend it on Drugs/Alcohol. Which is perfectly fine.

asshole! that was karma. u couldn't give up some change to someone who needed it

I was downtown with a friend of mine; we're both college students, so cash is sparse. This guy asks for change as we walk by, and we both turn him down. Then, 10 minutes later, we're going the other way, and he asks us again (And a second time we decline). So we walk to the corner, and I get us to stop and look back the way we came. This guy whips out an IPHONE when he thinks the street is empty, dials and says, "Yeah, not having any luck here, come pick me up.) To all of you who're saying they're an asshole for not giving them change, there's A) no guarantee that they're actually homeless, and B) the possibility that they'll spend it on pointless stuff (or drug/booze/cigarette money/electronics) is very high. Now compare that to those people who work 40 hours a week and struggle to make ends meet. You do the math as to who deserves it more. You want to give money to the homeless? Make a donation to a shelter.

Wow. You couldn't even give a homeless man some spare change. You definitely deserved that, jerk.

I love the amount of people who're calling the OP a jerk for not giving the guy any change, yet, i doubt they'd do it themselves.

Maybe it's just my area, but I never give homeless people money unless I truly feel for them (I couldn't help slipping a twenty to a lady with a cat that looked just like mine). If you watch them long enough, you'll see them go just down the street and ask for that 'measly twenty cents to take the bus' that they just asked you for. Many of them have homes and nicer cars than we do.

I not only just gave money to charity, but also to a homeless guy that I actually KNOW is homeless. You were a douche and YDI. Only thing you can do is give aid, if you aren't sure that they are homeless give them food. They won't turn it down if they are.
