That's their problem, not yours.
My last job tried this. On my second last day, they'd yet to post the next schedule and the assistant manager told me that I hadn't given enough notice (I gave them a week, and it was retail. And they'd lost my respect). My response is summed up as tough shit. And a note about how I'm not required by law to give +2 weeks notice and a couple other spots where they're violating the labour laws. The next day the new schedule was up. And the day after that, I started my new job
I told my boss that I had applied for a much higher-paying job at a different company. He looked at me and said "I've known people who worked there. They're a lot smarter than you." Joke was on him. Got the job and have kept it for 30 years.
