damn alzheimers
unless she was trolling
My grandma died of that...couldn't even remember my name, such a sad death :/
1. As far as I know you can't die of Alzheimers... I know you can die with it, but not of it.... 2. Whoever said "what grandma trolls?" obviously has never seen "off their rockers" >=)
Oh 35 you're right, she died due to alzheimers-related causes, not alzheimers itself sorry about that
Old people should take a test to be able to drive.
my grandma had alzheimers also. i was 15 at the time, and she thought i was her daughter, not her granddaughter. she keep asking where my brother was (who was really my dad and she didnt know who he was he was standing in the room :/ so sad.
55. They do, just like everyone else who has a drivers license.
63- I think 55 means once you reach a certain age you need to take it again to keep your licence.
In Canada, older people need to get a paper filled every year by the doctor and optometrist to see if they're healthy enough to drive.
Carly Rae Jepsen version: Hey I just met you I have Alzheimer's Hey I just met you...
72 by experience that's not enough. The requirements are way too low. Alot of people who shouldn't b allowed to drive still can because of those flawed tests. A full driving exam should be passed when the elderly get to a certain age, not only for our safety but for theirs too.
.
Actually #72, that test is optional in Canada. A doctor in Calgary last year lost his license to practice medicine because it was discovered he was telling the elderly patients that came in, that it was in fact mandatory as a part of their check up and resulted in most of them losing their licenses. When someone informed they didn't really have to be evaluated, it was their choice, they went ballistic and picketed the hospital. Fortunately, they didn't get their licenses reinstated. But the doctor who really was doing the community a service was still punished. Unnecasarily, in my opinion.
Maybe you shouldn't be driving with her. Take her home and give her some tea :)
Yes, tea solves all problems.
It makes you feel better !
Tea ALWAYS solves your problems, trust me I'm British ;)...
Alcohol solves mine
I hate stereotypes....and I'm English!
The idea of a smartphone didn't cross your mind? Not that I'm indirecting your concern for OPs grandma.
20- they aren't that expensive, man. I'm currently paying for mine thru a bloody fast food job at the moment.
44- LOL SNORT. I've seen 11 year olds with iPhones. Anything is possible.
I'm 18 and I still rely on people driving me. My driving scares me :(
73, You should get your drivers license and learn to drive properly. You never know when you will be in a car with someone else driving when they stop and ...
And that's why peoples licenses are taken away.
Chances are, even granny doesn't know.
Agreed its a sad FML don't have anything funny to say here
Never let a women drive...
Well that's a scary thought. Eek.
That's really sad in one way, be happy she still remembers you tho
Funny how she didn't turn to look at you and go THE F*** ARE YOU???
It's time to take you to a nice home granny.
