A more innocent time…

Today, it's my 20th birthday. I recently came home from college to visit my family, after my mother had a stroke a few weeks back. She ended up being the only person who remembered to get me anything. She also thinks it's still 2009. FML

Hey at least that shows how much she cares about you that despite losing so much of her memory, she still remembered your birthday! Besides, lots of people that care about me wouldn't remember my birthday without some reminder!

Are you serious?! Your mother just had a stroke and you're whining that nobody has time to celebrate your birthday? I'm sure everyone has their hands full caring for her. You can't honestly expect their world to revolve around you right now.
