For those who didn’t google: EDS is a grouping of 13 types of connective tissue disease. In “normal” people our tissue has a bit of give to it, but it stops before we get hurt. In EDS-patients, their tissue is so loose and unwieldy that it causes bodily harm. Some people can bend their fingers backwards at 90 degrees just typing on a keyboard and require splints to function, for example, but it can also affect your bones, blood vessels, or skin in similar messed-up ways. In OP’s case, their body can effectively dislocate itself with zero effort because the muscles that are *supposed* to keep that stuff locked down decided “ehhhhh close enough” and checked out. OP, I’m so sorry, and I genuinely hope the spasms stop soon.
I can emphasize 💖💖 my husband has Ed's and it's hard for him some days
