Am I being detained?

By Anonymous - This FML is from back in 2015 but it's good stuff - Canada - Chilliwack

Today, a police car hit my parked vehicle, likely due to icy road conditions. When the officer came over to talk to me, I assumed it was to give me his insurance information. Nope. It was to give me a ticket for "impeding a police officer." My car was in my driveway. FML

Get a lawyer and sue him. It's highly unlikely that anything else would be successful.

Officers aren't above the law I hate when they do shit like this

Take a picture. Or a video following the tire tracks to your car. Ask a neighbor if they saw what happened or even saw the position the police car and your car was in.

At least with ice on the roads there should be some sort of evidence that he hit you, hopefully you took some pictures to fight it!

Yea you definitely need to fight that and bring his ass to court.

Time to go to court. Don't move your car and document the scene. Take photos of the damage, were your car is parked, etc. this should be an easy win in court and hiring a lawyer would make it super easy.

There is no ay to fight back? It was his fault.

Some people get a bit of power and think they can do whatever they want, fight the ticket!
