Call it off. You're always going to come in second place to his mother. He is always, always going to take her word over yours, and he's always going to put her first. I have a friend who's been trying to divorce a guy like this for over a year now, and Mommy keeps finding some way to drag it out. She's trying to find a way to take the kids, the house, and everything else, and leave my friend, who is a dedicated mother and a hard worker, with nothing.
