Today, I was passing notes in class with my crush. I started to pour my heart out and tell him about how I've liked him for years. I was caught by the teacher. He looked at it, laughed, and tore it up. He then looked at me and said, "I just saved you from years of embarrassment. You're welcome." FML

Today, I was writing a very important email to my college professor. I went upstairs for something and came back down to send it. I later asked him today why he hadn't responded to which he said "I'm flattered...but can't." My roommate had added "love you xxx" at the end of the email. FML

Since the student is an adult (probably) no its legal. Since the prof is in charge of his or her grades though an affair can put the prof's job in jeopardy

It's not illegal since most people refer to teachers as professor in college (meaning they are both of legal age). It looks shameful in the professor's behalf and using sex to up her grade is also a way to get fired.
