Bad timing

Today, I called my husband and he told me that he was going to invite his friend Jeff over that night. I told him I would prefer that he didn't come over. He took it to mean that I wanted to spend time with him and came home with flowers. Then had to tell him I was leaving him. FML

FHL indeed. hate to tell you this, but the world does NOT revolve around you. and from the sound of it, you leaving him is the best thing you can do for him :P

Sounds like what my wife did to me.

I get that its no ones fault sometimes when things don't work out, but without any description of WHY you were leaving him, this just makes you sound like YOU'RE the one not trying. Obviously he still goes out of his way to make you happy.

This sounds more like a FHL.

Spends time money and affection to make you happy and you would still leave him is just wow.

Why leave him? He sounds dedicated to you.

Lol yeah to #2 this should be an fml to the guy

Just because he bought her flowers doesn't mean that there is no legitimate reason for divorcing him. Y'all are being really judgy and perpetuating some really sexist ideas when you presume that she should continue to engage in a relationship just because her partner puts in a bit of effort. It was clearly an FML because she cares about his feeling and feels bad. Bennefit of the doubt, yo. Also, really, the word bitch? Is that nessisary here? Common.
