#17 said it all hahaha
That really sucks, the look on your face must have been priceless though!
Why are you on a team, where you're the laughing stock? Find another team or just quit until next year.
Sucks for u But like what everyone else has said, Why did ur best player slide into first? Unless it was a pickoff (which is hard to get injuried on) or the guy was off of first with the ball in his glove.
OK, to all the assholes criticizing the guy for sliding into first, there are situations you should slide into first. Let's say the first baseman steps off the bag to field a bad throw and has to tag the runner; it's easier to avoid a tag if you are sliding as opposed to running through the bag. And OP: coaches like to see guys who are eager to play, as long as you are not pestering him about playing time. So work hard and your coach will notice, and you'll get your chance someday.
That sucks

Wait, your BEST player SLID into first? Thats a big baseball no-no, seeing as you can over-run it and curve to the right of the base and still be safe without having to be on the bag, assuming that the first basemen didn't have the ball in his glove and was standing on the bag when you ran over it.
Your team must suck ass if your best player is sliding into first
