BIKES?!

By David - This FML is from back in 2009 but it's good stuff - United States

Today, I decided to ride my rusty old bike to work, since it might be good the environment. I was standing up and had a tight grip on the handlebar. The handlebar came off and I fell down onto the crossbar, busting my nuts. FML

At least your intentions were good.

You may have tried to better the world, but the children you could've had won't ever get to see the effects of your hard work. D:

i dont understand why people say that other people deserve these things when theyre beyond the persons control. that sucks man!

FYL ...but if it makes you feel better, busting a nut might help prevent overpopulation. Just sayiin'

Except it wasn't beyond his control, he could have kept the bike in good shape and would have been fine. Or he could have checked out the bike to make sure it could handle the ride to work.

And choosing to ride a bike, a decision that will literally have ZERO effect on the environment as the other 3 billions cars being driven will most likely nullify that one bike rider.

So Your are saying that no one should ride bikes because it doesn't matter anyways and the worlds already to ****** for us to fix

I can ride my bike with no handlebars, beat that

so you busted a nut on your bike? thats impressive, was there a lady present?

that actually wont help the environment, it takes more energy for you to bike or walk somewhere than to drive. Which means you eat more, which means there is less in the world for everyone else.

eating more doesn't screw over the environment unless you litter. it messes with the populations food unit.

That's a problem with the human population, not the environment. The trees don't give a flying shit if we all starve, and with good reason.

haha so much for kids... ouch.. hope ur balls feel better soon

YDI for eating peanuts while riding a bike.

Unless you're now unable to reproduce, not much of a FML. I say YDI for not looking the bike over before riding it.
