It's alright. My parents never told me how to spell mine. I just made it up and decided how I wanted it pronounced too. It's not a common name though. I've never heard of something similar to it.

That's cool...either the hospital or the government spelled my last name wrong on my birth certificate. Man oh man, my dad gets so mad when I don't put the space in it. it just looks better the way I do it. So don't feel bad. I sign everything in school Manda when really I'm Amanda. -shrug- No one actually cares as long as it's recognizable.

I just recently found out that my mom taught me to spell my middle name incorrectly. We really can't blame the OP if they've been spelling it the way their parents taught them.
