Today, I was called to my principal's office over one of my Google searches. What was a the horrid thing I'd searched you may ask? “Can you kill someone with an atomic wedgie?” I was talking about a game named ”Bitlife”. FML.

Today, my crush asked to use my phone so he could Google something. Flattered that he wanted to use my phone, I agreed. After he was done, he handed it back with a weird look. I later realized he had found himself in my top searches. FML

Today, I was interviewing a cute guy for my journalism class, and he asked to borrow my laptop to check his email quickly. After the interview, I realized that the last thing I had searched for on my browser's Google box was "ingrown pubic hairs," and it was still up there. FML

Today, my principal made me visit "anti-violence" classes because I had a picture of me threatening a man with a gun on my Facebook page. It was taken during the school play, where I was acting as a gangster and the gun was just a toy. The principal saw the play. FML

And now you know that your searches using a school supplied computer and/or internet connection are monitored. Welcome to what it’s like at work too… If you want to search unmonitored, I suggest using your own smart phone (and cellular internet connection) or an internet connection you pay for yourself. But even with that be aware that you can still be tracked. It’s best to assume that “big brother” may be watching you at any time. Privacy simply does not exist as it once did.
