That sucks, but unless you were specifically requested, you might have been able to get someone else to stand in the service for you. I'm not sure if I hope you told her or not, because if you did, then it doubly sucks, but if you didn't then you don't know what could've been... Hopefully you were mature enough to not try anything during the ceremony, unlike Jeremy... (points for whoever gets the reference)
