Brief encounter

By anonymous - This FML is from back in 2016 but it's good stuff - United States - Pewaukee

Today, a guy I have been crushing on since forever finally talked to me. Too bad it happened after an anxiety attack when he carried me from class to the nurse's. The first thing he said to me when I came to was, "You're heavier than you look." FML
I agree, your life sucks 15 550
You deserved it 1 365

Same thing different taste

At least he was a gentleman enough to carry you there. I wouldn't worry about his comment as a lot of people can appear skinny but weigh more due to muscle mass, water retention, etc..

Really hope you're feeling better, OP. I don't think he was being malicious but still not the best thing he could've said.

Case of women overthinking everything. He wouldnt have carried you there if he didnt like you, and he was able to carry you all the way there. And I don't care how small you are you're still heavy for a person to carry

Besides that was actually a compliment. He implied that you look good

He thinks you look light, and he was probably just surprised his strength wasn't quite as easily up to carrying a person. And he touched your body, though not really under the most ideal of circumstances..

at least you got to talk to your crush?

Well you broke the ice, so see how things go from here. You could suggest that you take him out to dinner or lunch taste a thank you.

Pretty sure this is the opposite of an FML...

In some cultures that is definitely a compliment! Besides, isn't it bad to be light as a guy? Most of my male friends always complain about being under 160 lbs

Oh well, time to go find a man who isn't an asshole. :)

How does this make him an asshole?! All he said is that OP is heavier than he looks, meaning OP looks like he doesn't weigh that much. I'd rather be told I'm heavier than I look than be told I look heavier than I am.

not gonna lie OP, that's embarrassing but how sweet of him to do that!

I would take that as a compliment though!
