You shouldn't complain, your "litigation lottery" ticket just came up a winner. if you don't end up with enough money to buy a house from this, then you are truly a doofus.
OP: Are you a non-Caucasian? I rarely hear of stuff like this happening to white people. Either way, FYL.
FYL for having to deal with evil, shit eating ******* cops
If you decide not to sue, or a lawyer tells you that you couldn't expect to get anywhere with it, I think it is important for you to file a complaint with their Internal Affairs Department. If they get away with how they treated you minus even a reprimand, they'll be even quicker to do this to someone else the next time they get a chance.
Held at gunpoint on a felony car stop? Yes. That's generally how it works.

I'm fairly certain you actually can sue for this, darling. Is it me, or are the police getting more and more brutal these days?
to everyone say that "cops wouldn't do that," BS. Cops can do whatever they want, and then lie about what happened. Their cop buddies will stand behind them. I knew a few people this happened to. And there's no point in suing because it's your word against theirs.
